Skoda Kodiaq RS Bookings to Open on June 22 in India

Skoda India will officially commence bookings for the upcoming Kodiaq RS on 22 June 2026. The performance SUV will be launched in India very soon.

The model marks a major milestone as the first-ever Skoda SUV in the country to receive the high-performance 'RS' treatment. It will be brought to India as a fully imported completely built-up unit (CBU), and it is expected that the number of units allocated to India will be quite limited. For comparison, the Octavia RS saw an allocation of just 100 units for its initial batch.

The Kodiaq RS offers a substantial performance upgrade over its standard counterpart. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 261 bhp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque, reflecting an increment of 59 bhp and 80 Nm over the standard Kodiaq. This engine is tuned to the exact same specifications as the global Octavia RS and the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Visually, the RS variant sets itself apart from the standard flagship SUV with aggressive front and rear bumper profiles and an array of blacked-out exterior trim elements. The vehicle sits on larger 20-inch alloy wheels, which neatly house contrasting red brake calipers.

Inside, the cabin drops the standard layout in favour of an all-black theme accented by red contrast stitching. The front row gains sportier bucket seats that feature integrated headrests stamped with distinctive RS branding.

Due to its nature as a full import, the high-performance SUV will carry a premium price tag. The Skoda Kodiaq RS could be priced between around ₹55 lakh. For context, the locally assembled standard Kodiaq is currently retailed in India between ₹36.99 lakh and ₹46.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
