BMW India will launch 19 products in 2024, including 13 cars and 6 motorcycles.
BMW Group India announced its product onslaught for 2024 with as many as 19 products slated for this year alone. Building on the momentum from the previous year, the German carmaker hopes to increase its market share for FY24-25, backed by 19 launches, including for BMW Motorrad and MINI India. In 2023, the company launched about 22 products, including several new cars while the rest were refreshed including the BMW X3 and X5 among others.
On this, Vikram Pawah, President & CEO, BMW Group India, said, “2023 has been a phenomenal year for us and we have big plans for 2024, with as many as 19 launches under BMW, BMW Motorrad, and the MINI brands. We are very excited to announce that the new-generation BMW 5 Series will be launched soon, followed by two new electric cars to join the BMW i4 and the BMW i7 among others. For the motorcycle enthusiasts, we have the new BMW R1300 GS also slated for a launch but the timeline for this will be announced later.”
These would include 13 car models, out of which about 5-6 cars will be all-new or new generation while the rest is expected to be refreshed for 2024. The company will also introduce 6 motorcycles under BMW Motorrad including the new BMW R1300 GS and two new EVs including the new BMW i5 electric sedan.
Although Pawah did not give a specific timeline for the launches of these vehicles, he did say that the new 5 Series and the new X3 will surely arrive later this year, possibly before the festive season. In contrast, the BMW R1300 GS will be launched sooner. The company will also bring the new MINI Countryman, and the MINI 3-Door hatch later this year.
