India Kawasaki Motors has launched the all-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R at Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which makes it even more expensive than the Kawasaki Ninja 650 priced at Rs. 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and even with its closest rivals, the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400, that retails at Rs. 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R will also compete with the upcoming Aprilia RS 457 in the SuperSport motorcycle segment.

The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R features a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line four engine with a displacement of 399 cc. It delivers 76 bhp at 14,500 rpm, which increases to 79 bhp at 14,500 rpm with Ram Air. The torque peaks at 39.0 N-m at 13,000 rpm. Its transmission includes a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, while the suspension comprises a fully adjustable front fork and rear shock. Advanced electronics are a hallmark, including traction control and multiple riding modes.
The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R also features the Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system with three modes, catering to various riding situations. An Assist & Slipper Clutch, derived from racing technology, acts as a back-torque limiter and self-servo mechanism, resulting in a lighter clutch lever. The ABS ensures stable braking performance by preventing wheel lock during braking.

For customization, riders have various accessory options available, including a Quick Shifter, Single Seat Cover in Green Color, Smoke Windscreen, USB Socket, Frame Sliders, Sports Seat, Radiator Cover, and Tank Pad. The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is scheduled to hit the streets on October 1, 2023.
