Suzuki is gearing up to launch a new two-wheeler in India. The Japanese brand teased the same a week ago and now the company has shared another teaser of the upcoming two-wheeler on its social media handles. We had earlier reported that this new model is most likely to be a new iteration of the Suzuki Burgman Street.
Slated to launch tomorrow, i.e., 2 April 2026, the new Burgman Street is expected to draw inspiration from the larger Burgmans, especially the Burgman 750, on sale overseas. The Burgman Street made its India debut in 2018. In 2022, Suzuki introduced the Street EX variant, which featured a larger 12-inch rear wheel. However, the overall design has remained largely unchanged since launch. A comprehensive design update is likely to be the next step for Burgman Street.
Like the previous teaser, the new teaser also focussed on the scooter’s front fascia featuring a brand new split LED headlamp setup with integrated eyebrow-styled LED DRLs and the Suzuki logo at the centre. The teaser suggests a more angular and sharper look to the front end. Suzuki’s aim is to give a big scooter feel.
Not just the design but Suzuki is likely to bring mechanical changes to the Burgman Street. For starters, Suzuki is likely to make some updates to the chassis of the max-style scooter in the same lines as the new Suzuki Access launched last year. Although not confirmed yet, Suzuki is unlikely to launch a bigger Burgman in India rivalling the likes of TVS Ntorq 150, Yamaha Aerox, and Hero Xoom 160.

That said, the Burgman Street is expected to receive an updated 124 cc engine just like the Access. While the bore and stroke remain unchanged, several internal components such as the camshaft, crankshaft, and crankcase have been updated. Despite these revisions, the output remains unchanged at 8.4 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. A similar set of powertrain updates is expected for the Burgman Street.
