The new Nissan Gravite was launched last month and is the brand's second mass-market offering since the Magnite arrived in 2020. The brand also had a healthy month in February with cumulative sales growing 23 per cent year-on-year.
Nissan India has announced that the automaker has commenced deliveries of the newly launched Gravite MPV across the country, starting March 1 2026. The new Nissan Gravite was launched last month at an introductory price of ₹5.65 lakh (, ex-showroom). Nissan also announced its sales figures for February 2026 with the automaker reporting a 23 per cent year-on-year growth. Nissan’s total consolidated sales stood at 10,565 units last month, of which domestic sales contributed 2,230 units, while exports grew to 8,335 units.
Speaking about the sales performance, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “February has been an important and forward-looking month for Nissan in India. Our consolidated performance reflects stable underlying demand and continued strength in exports, reaffirming India’s strategic importance in Nissan’s global operations. The launch of the all-new Nissan Gravite has generated an extremely encouraging response from customers, dealers, and partners. With deliveries commencing from March, we are confident that the coming months will reflect the true momentum of our portfolio in the market. We remain focused on sustained growth, delivering enhanced customer experiences, and strengthening our network footprint as we continue building a resilient and future-ready Nissan in India.”

The badge-engineered Renault Triber is Nissan’s second mass-market offering since the Magnite in recent years, and aims to give the automaker a stronger foothold in the country. The new Gravite gets new styling and a repurposed interior over the Triber to give it a unique identity. The sub-4-metre MPV draws power from the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated, three-cylinder petrol engine tuned for 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.6 kmpl on the AMT and up to 19.3 kmpl on the manual variants.
The Gravite sports a tall stance to maximise cabin space, while the cabin gets a three-row 2+3+2 seating configuration. The cabin is loaded on the feature front with a digital instrument console, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, rear AC vents, removable third row, and more. The safety pack comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold, and ESC.
While offering a single engine option for now, Nissan showcased the Gravite CNG with a dealer-fitted kit at the launch. The company is yet to announce prices for the same but we expect it to be made available soon. Expect the Gravite CNG to command a premium of ₹50,000-60,000 over the petrol versions.
