Oben Electric Is India’s Highest-Selling Electric Motorcycle Brand In September

Oben Electric recorded 1,417 electric motorcycle registrations in September, 2026, making it the top-selling electric motorcycle brand for the month, according to Vahan data. The Bengaluru-based company said the result marked its highest monthly sales to date, with the new Rorr Evo driving demand. Oben is positioning the Rorr Evo for riders who may weigh it against petrol motorcycles as well as other electric models. 

The sales milestone comes as Oben expands production. The company recently rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru facility. The 3.5-acre plant has an annual production capacity of 100,000 motorcycles, according to the brand. The manufacturer says it develops and makes several key electric vehicle components in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units (VCUs), chargers and software.

The above has given the company better control over engineering, quality and production, and helps it tailor motorcycles to Indian riding conditions.Oben now has more than 150 showrooms and Oben Care service centres across over 90 cities in 18 states. But the brand wants to expand its dealership reach for sales to grow further in the near future.
