Having 600 service centres across the country should give customers some amount of assurance about after-sales support.
Ola Electric has crossed a significant milestone with the inauguration of its 600th service centre. The new service centre has been set up in Vadodara, Gujarat. This aggressive expansion highlights the company's dedication to building a robust service network across India, particularly in non-metropolitan locations.
The brand new service centre, which has the title of Ola Electric's largest in Gujarat, brings the total number of service facilities in the state to 44. To celebrate this achievement and emphasise customer centricity, Ola Electric offered free scooter health check-ups for all Ola S1 owners on the opening day.
This milestone comes just months after Ola Electric announced its ambitious plan to expand its service network from 400 to 600 centres. Apart from the expansion of service centres, Ola recently unveiled plans to introduce new, budget-friendly variants of its popular Ola S1 scooters by early 2025. This caters to a wider range of consumers and directly addresses affordability concerns, a key factor in the EV market. Furthermore, to enhance the scooter range and potentially reduce costs, Ola Electric aims to be self-sufficient in battery production. The company plans to manufacture its lithium-ion battery cells by early 2025, reducing reliance on imported components which add to fixed costs. Read more about the Ola IPO here.
