The Ola S1 Pro Sport is the brand’s sportiest offering, but pricing-wise, it is below the S1 Pro+.
Ola Electric at its annual August 15 event, Sankalp, had a few surprise announcements and showcases. From rare-earth free motors to bigger 46100 and 46120 battery packs, and even wireless charging for its electric scooters. But the most significant launch of them all was that of the new Ola S1 Pro Sport. It is the brand’s sportiest offering yet, and with a top speed of 152 kmph is its fastest scooter too. Here are some more of its highlights:
The Ola S1 Pro Sport builds on the S1 Pro’s design but adds a slightly more aggressive and sporty tone. Like the redesigned front apron with subtle cuts and creases, with a new casing design around the turn-indicators, along with the carbonfibre front fender, the new pillion grab handles, and the small flyscreen. These design elements do help it stand out from the S1 range, but its aggressiveness is nowhere near an Ather 450 Apex, for example.
While the Ola S1 Pro Sport is based on the same Gen3 platform, the brand says that the hardware components have been reworked upon. So, the tune of the front telescopic fork has been changed, and the rear monoshock has been swapped for gas-charged shock absorbers. Additionally, the 12-inch wheels have been replaced by 14-inch wheels at both ends, however, the alloy design remains the same.
The Ola S1 Pro Sport will be powered by a slightly smaller 5.2 kWh 4680 battery, as opposed to the 5.3 kWh battery on the S1 Pro+. But the battery pack on the S1 Pro Sport is still good for the same IDC-claimed 320 km range on a single charge. The battery packs also takes just 15 minutes to charge from 20-80%, but the company did not specify if that was from a standard or fast charger.
The Ola S1 Pro Sport will launch with the in-house developed rare earth free ferrite motor that produces 71 Nm of peak torque. This is good enough for a top speed of 152 kmph (that is 11 kmph more than the Ola S1 Pro+) and can help accelerate from 0-40 kmph in about 2 seconds.
The Ola S1 Pro Sport will debut with the brand’s new MoveOS 6 software, which is slated to bring a host of new features to the S1 range. The most notable addition of them all will be ADAS. The S1 Pro Sport will be the first scooter to debut with driver assist features like front collision alert, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alerts, etc. It also gets a front and rear camera which will double up as a dashcam too.
The Ola S1 Pro Sport has been launched at an introductory price of ₹1,49,999 (ex-showroom), which is almost ₹20,000 less than the Ola S1 Pro+. The latter was showcased with the new 4680 battery pack, and its asking price was reduced from ₹1.9 to ₹1.7 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries for the Ola S1 Pro Sport will start from January 2026.
