OnePlus has published a cryptic advertisement in today's edition of The Times of India, teasing an upcoming high-end speaker system.
The full-page colour ad carries the title "Got the music in you?" along with the caption "The wonder of music meets the power of tech. #Coming Soon". No other details are provided about the product.
However, the ad image shows a unique crystal-like structure that seems to house over six drivers, likely sub-woofers and tweeters. The high-gloss design appears to pulsate different colours, indicating it could change lights based on the music being played.
At the bottom, a small control unit is visible, which mentions music genres like R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Trap, Rock and EDM. This hints the system may offer preset EQ modes optimized for different types of music.
OnePlus is no stranger to high-performance audio products, having launched acclaimed TWS earphones like the OnePlus Buds in the past. However, this would mark their entry into the multi-room speaker segment, currently dominated by players like Sonos, Bose and Samsung.
As the ad carries the tagline "Coming Soon", it seems an official launch isn't very far away. We have reached out to OnePlus for a comment, but an official announcement is awaited.
