This sad incident unfolded in Mobile, Alabama, and malfunctioning traffic lights were the reason behind the accident.
In what seems like a case of callousness and complete disregard for basic humanity, an Alabama cop hit and ran a motorcyclist in Mobile, Alabama. The collision took place at the intersection between Ziegler Boulevard and Cody Road. The traffic light was not functioning properly, which precisely has been cited as the reason behind the accident.
Security images revealed that the police officer’s SUV was traveling toward Ziegler, and despite the yellow sign blinking repeatedly which requires you to slow down, the SUV accelerated and hit 67-year-old motorcyclist Robert Sayen and disappeared.
A photographer from FOX10 News later found out that the police vehicle was a quarter of a mile away from the scene of the accident. The officer responsible has been taken off the streets and placed on administrative duty. However, the investigation is still going and Sayen’s family has also started a GoFundMe page to raise $2,500 to deliver justice to him.
