Tata Motors To Raise Commercial Vehicle Prices By Up To 1% From October 1

Tata Motors will increase prices of its commercial vehicles by up to 1 per cent from October 1, as the automaker looks to offset the impact of higher commodity and other input costs. The company announced the price revision across its commercial vehicle range, with the increase varying across models and variants. The move comes as manufacturers continue to manage cost pressures affecting vehicle production.

“Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, today announced a price increase of up to 1 percent on its range of commercial vehicles, effective 1 October 2026,” the company said in the filing.

According to Tata Motors, the price increase is intended to counter the rise in commodity and other input costs. 

The revised prices will come into effect on October 1.

The commercial vehicle portfolio spans a range of products serving different applications, including goods transportation and passenger mobility. The price adjustment will therefore apply across the company’s commercial vehicle range rather than being limited to a specific model.

The announcement follows a period of continued movement in input costs, which can influence vehicle manufacturing expenses and margins. For commercial vehicle buyers, even relatively small price changes can affect acquisition costs, particularly for fleet operators and businesses purchasing vehicles in larger numbers.

The extent of the increase will be capped at 1 per cent, although the actual adjustment may differ across products within the portfolio.
