Porsche India has reported its highest-ever first half-year sales for January to June 2024, with a significant 40 per cent increase over the same period in 2023. The luxury carmaker sold 489 units in the first six months, driven by robust demand across its model range. Porsche India highlighted the impressive performance of its SUVs, the Cayenne and Macan, which collectively accounted for 306 units of the total sales. The iconic 911 sports coupe also contributed significantly, with 93 units sold.

Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director of Porsche India said, "The first half of 2024 has been our best, reflecting solid and continuous growth across all model lines in India over the past few years.”

Looking ahead, Porsche India is poised to maintain its growth trajectory with the introduction of three new models in the latter half of the year. The Cayenne GTS, 911 sports coupe, and Panamera GTS are set to hit the Indian market, with deliveries commencing in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Moreover, Porsche is expanding its electric vehicle lineup in India. The all-electric Taycan and Macan are now available for order, with deliveries expected to start in early 2025. This move aligns with the global shift towards sustainable mobility and caters to the growing interest in electric vehicles among Indian consumers.

Its Italian rival, Lamborghini also reported record-breaking sales in fiscal year 2023. It sold 103 vehicles in India, crossing the triple-digital sales mark for the first time in its history. The sales in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) went up by 4 per cent at 2660 units. Not only that, Lamborghini also registered best-ever global sales, reporting sales of 10,112 units for the first time last year, including another record-breaking figure, that is, revenues of €2.66 billion, 12.1 per cent up compared to 2022.
