Range Rover, Range Rover Sport Price In India Revised

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) recently announced that it has started assembly of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models in India. Following this, the prices of the two models have been reduced by a big margin and they’re offered with fewer variants than before. 

The Range Rover is now offered in two variants – HSE Diesel and Autobiography Petrol – while the Range Rover Sport is now offered in Dynamic SE Petrol and Diesel variants. Prices for the Range Rover now start at ₹2.36 crore and Range Rover Sport at ₹1.40 crore (both ex-showroom, India). 

Prices for the Range Rover Sport have dropped by ₹29 lakh for both variants and the total number of variants has dropped from eight to just two. Similarly, the Range Rover HSE Diesel is now more affordable by ₹45 lakh and the Autobiography Petrol is now ₹56 lakh cheaper than before. Like its smaller sibling, the Range Rover’s variant lineup has reduced from 20 to just two variants. 

Deliveries of the locally-assembled Range Rover have begun on May 24, 2024, while deliveries of the Range Rover Sport will begin on August 16, 2024. The two models will be produced at the brand's facility in Pune.

The Range Rover HSE gets a 3.0-litre diesel engine producing 346 bhp and 700 Nm, while the Autobiography gets a 3.0-litre petrol engine producing 393 bhp and 550 Nm. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Range Rover Sport also gets a choice of a 346 bhp, 700 Nm, 3.0-litre diesel engine and a 395 bhp, 550 Nm, 3.0-litre petrol engine, with both mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
