The Raptee.HV T 30 is also the first electric bike in the country that can be charged at CCS2 car charging stations.
Chennai-based EV startup Raptee.HV has launched India's first high-voltage electric bike called T 30. With performance equivalent to that of a 250-300cc internal combustion engine (ICE) bike, the Raptee.HV T 30 also earns the distinction for being the first of its kind two-wheeler to feature technologies used in electric cars. Thereby it is compatible with universal charging standards, and the onboard charger can be used at all 13,500 CCS2 car charging stations across the country.
While the company hasn’t revealed details about the battery and powertrain. It did mention that the Raptee.HV T 30 can do an estimated 200 km (IDC- range) of range on a single charge, with real-world figures hovering somewhere around 150 km. As for its performance, the T 30 can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in less than 3.5 seconds, making it almost as quick as the Ultraviolette F77 or the KTM 250 Duke. Raptee.HV will offer an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty, which the company claims equals a car standard.
Feature-wise, the T 30 will incorporate advanced software features, which will be developed in-house. The company will also develop its own operating system that will be displayed on its TFT screen.
Priced from ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the Raptee.HV T 30 will be available in four colours - Horizon Red, Arctic White, Mercury Grey, and Eclipse Black. Initial deliveries will be limited to Chennai and Bengaluru, and deliveries will commence in January. On the sidelines, the company also announced the launch of Tech Store.HV at its headquarters in Chennai. The factory-integrated experience centre will also give customers an opportunity to tour the factory floors. At this price, the T 30 is amongst the most expensive electric two-wheelers on sale in our country and we hope the performance, specs and features are worth its asking price.
Speaking on the occasion of its debut, Dinesh Arjun, Co-founder & CEO, Raptee.HV, said, “Our goal was never to create an electric version of an ICE motorcycle, but to do justice to motorcycling with truly pioneering tech. We have taken the core of advanced electric car tech and engineered it for motorcycles. Launching India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle was a technical challenge from the very beginning.”
