Handset maker Realme has set January 16 as the launch date for its newest flagship smartphone series, the Realme 14 Pro Series 5G, in India. The upcoming series will introduce the world's first cold-sensitive colour-changing technology, which will be featured prominently in its Pearl White variant.
This innovation stems from a collaboration between Realme and Nordic design studio Valeur Designers, using proprietary thermochromic fusion fibre technology.
While the series will be available globally in Pearl White and Suede Grey, Indian consumers will have exclusive access to two additional colours: Bikaner Purple and Jaipur Pink, which draw inspiration from the architectural heritage of their namesake Indian cities.
On the display front, the device features a quad-curve screen with 1.5k resolution, accompanied by remarkably thin 1.6mm bezels, which the company claims are the slimmest in this price segment. The camera system introduces several innovations, including what Realme calls the world's first triple flash system.
The Realme 14 Pro+ boasts impressive camera specifications, featuring a Sony IMX896 50MP main camera with f/1.88 aperture and Optical Image Stabilisation. The device also includes an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP front-facing camera with autofocus capabilities. A standout feature is the industry-first triple-reflection periscope telephoto lens, utilising a Sony IMX882 50MP sensor with OIS.
This advanced system offers enhanced zoom capabilities, including 3X optical zoom, 6X lossless zoom, and extends up to 120X super zoom, while maintaining a compact design that reduces camera weight by 31 per cent and volume by 20 per cent.
The MagicGlow Triple Flash system serves as a portable professional lighting solution, designed to maintain consistent illumination across various environments. The company has enhanced its imaging capabilities with AI-driven features, including AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, which employs large-scale models to reduce blurriness in telephoto shots and processed images. The AI HyperRAW Algorithm focuses on realistic depth and shadow reconstruction, while the AI Snap Mode, inherited from the Realme GT7 Pro, specialises in capturing fast-moving subjects.
The device's design integrates these features through an Ocean Oculus triple camera layout, complemented by polished gradient details. Interested consumers can find additional information about the series on Realme's official website and Flipkart's platform.
