The new edition aims to recapture the spirit of the original Duster.
Renault India has announced a special edition of its recently relaunched Duster compact SUV, which it says is inspired by the original 2012 version and the way many owners used it. The new Renault Duster Adventure Edition is available in three variants, priced starting at ₹12.99 lakh and going up to ₹15.39 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India).

The Adventure Turbo TCe 100 MT trim comes at a premium compared to the base Authentic TCe 100 variant, which is priced at ₹10,49,000 in India. The Renault Duster competes with the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, and several other models in the crowded compact SUV segment. Its just-launched near-twin, the Nissan Tekton, is based on the same platform and shares the same body structure as well.
Renault unveiled the special edition July 14, which is celebrated as Bastille Day in France, in the presence of Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India and Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India.
The Adventure Edition will be available with in engine and transmission options: Turbo TCe 100 MT, Turbo TCe 160 MT, and Turbo TCe 160 DCT. Power and performance figures are unchanged compared to the standard Renault Duster, along with its five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
According to the company, adventure and exploration is closely associated with the Duster name, and the original was widely used by owners for going on journeys, not just their ordinary daily commutes. The new Adventure Edition aims to recapture that spirit and hopefully attract buyers who owned the previous model.
Buyers will get new, unique exterior elements including Adventure decals with topographical contour lines and the exact latitude and longitude of Leh (34.27 N, 77.60 E), where the Duster was tested many owners travelled to. Other design touches are an Adventure embellisher and Adventure floor mats.

In terms of equipment, this special edition comes with full LED headlamps, an electric panoramic sunroof, electric powered tailgate, and 43.18cm (17-inch) ocean alloy wheels. The cabin interior offers automatic dual zone air conditioning, a 25.65cm (10.1-inch) central infotainment screen with Renault’s openR Link multimedia system. Buyers can also use connected car features through the My Renault app.
Speaking at the launch, Deblaise said "Iconic vehicles are remembered not simply for what they do, but for the place they earn in people's lives. Duster belongs to that rare category. Over the years, it became part of countless journeys and lasting memories for customers across India. The Adventure Edition celebrates the enduring connection that people continue to have with the Duster nameplate."
