Nissan Tekton design

Nissan has gone to great lengths to give the Tekton its own identity. The compact SUV's design draws inspiration from Nissan’s flagship Patrol SUV sold overseas, which gives it a more boxy and upright stance. The bonnet gets muscular haunches, a full-width LED DRL extending into the LED headlamps, a flat nose with twin horizontal slats running across the width of the car, and a ruggedly styled bumper with body cladding. It also has a prominent Tekton badge on the bonnet, while retaining the Nissan logo on the grille. The rear profile features connected lights with redesigned C-shaped LED taillights, and black cladding on the bumper with silver inserts.

Nissan Tekton features and safety

The cabin is familiar with twin screens, dual-zone AC, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected tech, leatherette upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with manual lumbar adjustment, a panoramic sunroof, quilted trim on the dash and doors, a wireless phone charger with cooling, and more. The SUV can boast of an impressive five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test results, thanks to the Duster being tested previously. It comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Level 2 ADAS, and more. Other features include 360-degree parking assist and surround view, proximity-based lock/unlock, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.

Nissan's infotainment system is based on the Google Built-In platform (Android Automotive) with integrated Google Maps and the Google Play store so users can choose from over 200 apps. Google Assistant is supported, and the system is Gemini AI capable. It recognises over 100 voice commands, and over-the-air updates will be supported. A new MyNissan app supports remote engine start with AC control, remote lock/unlock, remote lights and horn, vehicle status and location checks, and more.
