Subsequently, the Indian two-wheeler brand will also be eligible for the upcoming FAME-III subsidy scheme.
Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Revolt Motors has received official approval from the Ministry of Heavy Industries for the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS)2024. This makes the brand’s sole offering, the RV400 (available in two variants), eligible for the ₹10,000 subsidy that the Government of India offers as part of the EMPS 2024, thus keeping the electric bike competitively priced.

Revolt Motors was one of the seven manufacturers fined by the Government of India for violating guidelines under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME)—II scheme. Consequently, the Government imposed fines totalling ₹569 crores, of which Revolt Motors had to pay ₹50 crores. After that, the companies had to apply again for subsidies.
Speaking on the occasion of this approval, Anjali Rattan, Co-Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprise Ltd., the parent company of Revolt Motors, said, “This endorsement is a testament to our relentless efforts towards Make in India program with its 100% made-in-India electric motorcycles.”
This news comes from Revolt Motors shortly after the brand introduced its new financing scheme called “4 Chauke Offer” last month to make owning its electric two-wheeler more accessible than before. Revolt Motors has eliminated the need for a down payment with this new offer. Instead, the bike can be availed for a monthly fee of ₹4,444. This scheme was preceded by the brand introducing a flat ₹5,000 discount on the RV400 and RV400 BRZ (variant) by optimising its production cost for spare parts and batteries.
The Revolt RV400 and RV400 BRZ have the same core features, including a 3 kW motor paired to a swappable battery with a 150 km range in Eco mode. However, the differences between the two lie in their respective feature list, wherein the former is available with phone connectivity, and the latter doesn’t. The RV400 BRZ is more of a no-frills alternative to the RV400 with a more straightforward spec sheet, and at ₹1.43 lakh (ex-showroom), it is ₹7,000 more affordable than the RV400, which will set you back by ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
