The largest Classic yet is primed to be one of the most premium offerings from Royal Enfield.
After debuting at EICMA 2024 and showcasing it again at Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield is going to keep us waiting for the Classic 650. The launch of the biggest Classic yet will take place sometime in early 2025, the likelihood being in January.
Yep, Royal Enfield will want to start 2025 with a bang with not one but two launches to kick off the year. The Scram 440 will be the first off the block with the Classic 650 soon to follow. Head here to read more details about the revised adventure-derived scrambler.

The Classic 650 is the sixth bike on Royal Enfield’s 650 cc parallel-twin engine platform. Instead of using a dedicated new frame for the bike, Royal Enfield has sort of tweaked the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 chassis. The suspension remains Showa-sourced but they are geared towards a more old school feel.
It looks meaty and stunning, though. The proportions of the motorcycle are bang on with everything on it screaming retro. It has the silhouette that one associates with the Royal Enfield Classic, a design language that sort of has refined over time since the launch of the first Classic 500 over a decade ago.
And to pay tribute to that very same bike, Royal Enfield also has a similar Teal colour option for the 650. There are three more shades to opt from with the Vallum Red and Bruntingthorpe Blue being the entry-level options while the Black Chrome likely to be the most premium of them all.
In the UK, Royal Enfield has priced the Classic 650 between the Bear 650 and the Super Meteor 650. For India, though, we think the Classic 650 might just be priced from ₹3.60 lakh onwards, on par with the base versions of the cruiser as well as the Shotgun 650. More details on the roadster’s pricing and availability are likely to come early 2025.
