The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 will be the first bike to integrate this advanced connectivity feature.
Royal Enfield's new electric motorcycle brand, Flying Flea, is partnering with Qualcomm Technologies to integrate advanced connectivity features into its upcoming line of electric motorcycles. The collaboration will see RE’s debut electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, to incorporate Qualcomm's Snapdragon QWM2290 chip and Car-to-Cloud Platform.
The Flying Flea C6 was first showcased in Milan last November at EICMA 2024. With Qualcomm chip access to information like real-time diagnostics, and advanced navigation will be much smoother and the UX will be very intuitive, claims the company.
The Snapdragon chip will power the motorcycle's control unit and interface through a round TFT display. Riders can access five pre-set ride modes or create custom configurations for different terrains. The system will also include 4G Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with voice assistance with a dedicated button. The chip would also allow you to use your smartphones as digital keys, something we have already seen with the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar.
Despite being an all-new, modern electric bike, the new Flying Flea C6 has many characteristics that pay homage to the Flying Flea from yesteryears. Like the war bike, the electric bike will also be extremely light and tip the scales at 100 kg. While the battery specs are still under wraps, it will be nestled inside an aluminium frame, and the battery casings will be characterised by fin design. The bike's production has been confirmed to start from 2026 onwards.
