New spyshots of the production-ready Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 have surfaced before its official launch
Royal Enfield fans, mark your calendars! The unveil of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is likely happening in July. Spy shots of a near-production model have recently surfaced, offering a glimpse into the upcoming scrambler based on the larger 450cc based of ADV - Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
The test mule spotted in Chennai reveals a motorcycle with a design that appears nearly ready to roll off the assembly line and into dealerships. It has a lower, scrambler-like stance compared to its tall adventure-oriented sibling, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. This suggests a focus on paved roads while retaining some off-road capability.
The headlight is mounted on the fork unlike the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 which gets a tank-mounted headlight stay. The instrument cluster appears identical to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450's TFT unit. The seat, while sharing some design elements, sits lower. Further adding its road-biased nature are the 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is expected to be powered by the same 450cc Sherpa engine found in the Himalayan 450. This engine is likely to have the same tune and will deliver the same 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. Whether we get to see the same amount of electronics aids in the upcoming Guerrilla 450 is something we have to wait and watch.
The suspension setup differs from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 features a telescopic fork with fork boots, to keep costs under check.. The subframe also has a distinct shape, and the footpegs are positioned further back compared to the Himalayan. The rear brake light with integrated indicators carries over from its adventure counterpart.
With the unveiling expected in July, more details about the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, including its official specifications and pricing, should be revealed soon. We expect it to be priced under Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) given the simpler components when compared to its ADV sibling.
