Royal Enfield provides a safety solution for parents who want their kids to accompany them on their motorcycle adventures.
Royal Enfield's gear and apparel team has recently launched a new line of helmets tailored specifically for kids. The Motocross Kids Helmet is priced at ₹2,500. It's an effort to address the needs of young riders who accompany their parents on motorcycle adventures as well as promoting safer riding culture overall.
Helmet's design is a standout feature, with a Motocross aesthetic with a stylish sun beak, ensuring that young riders not only experience safety but also have a cool and trendy look during their journeys.
The shell is made of high impact grade thermoplastic, the outer construction of the helmet prioritises superior impact protection and durability. This design ensures that the helmet remains resilient in a crash.
Inside, the EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner is meticulously crafted to snugly fit the head, absorbing impact and providing an additional layer of defence against penetration in case of accidents. Equipped with a Chinstrap Micrometric lock, the helmet ensures a secure and snug fit, enhancing overall safety for the young riders. ISI certification makes this helmet legal to be sold and adds some layer of reassurance to buyers but we expect this to have ECE and DOT certification in the future for better safety assurance.
The helmet's design incorporates a sophisticated ventilation system, with front and upper air vents, including a back exhaust outlet. This ensures proper airflow, keeping the young riders cool and comfortable throughout their adventures.
This weighs at 1100 +/-50 grams. It is designed to be lightweight, prioritising the comfort of young riders during extended journeys. Adding to the comfort features, the internal fabric is treated with Polygiene antibacterial technology, inhibiting the growth of odour-causing bacteria. This liner fabric is fully removable and washable, promoting hygiene and cleanliness after use. To maintain freshness, it is recommended to clean the fabric part of the internals with water or a helmet cleaner spray.
