The new version of the Scram will be more convenient and versatile than the outgoing 411
After first showcasing it at Moto Verse 2024, Royal Enfield will launch the new Scram 440 tomorrow. Expect the pricing to go up slightly, likely to be around ₹2.15 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It will be available in two trims: Force and Trail.
Yes, Royal Enfield likes to call the Scram series its urban scrambler but it most certainly is more on the lines of a road-biased adventure tourer. And the updates to the engine and foundation will certainly make it all the more useful than the old 411.
For starters, the extra performance on hand is complemented by a sixth gear which should come in handy on touring duties. The new 440 cc single is pushing out 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm, which should be noticeably more on every ride.
The inclusion of switchable ABS makes it better suited for off tarmac fun. And finally, there are alloy wheels on offer on the Force trim, so no worries about potential punctures. More details on the Scram 440 in this story.
The Scram 411 will be quite accessible to go up against the Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
