At its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, Samsung will unveil its highly anticipated Fold 5 and Flip 5 foldable phones. In its fifth iteration, Samsung’s foldable is set to bring in two refined flavours of the foldable experience—a phone with tablet experience in the Fold 5 and a clamshell design foldable in Flip 5.
While both foldable phones will likely receive upgrades across the board, the Fold 5 and the Flip 5 are expected to get a new hinge mechanism to reduce the crease that forms overtime when folded. The other major upgrade is the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which will bring performance improvements and more.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be priced at EUR 1,899 (~₹1,72,500), while the Z Flip 5 could be priced at EUR 1,199 (~₹1,08,900).
Meanwhile, Samsung is also slated to unveil its Galaxy Watch 6 series during the Unpacked event. If the rumours are accurate, Samsung is bringing back the rotating bezel to its Galaxy 6 Classic. Both smartwatches are expected to feature sapphire crystal displays and arrive in 40/44mm and 43/47mm dial sizes.
The Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to be priced at EUR 319 (~₹28,980) for the standard version and EUR 419 (~₹38,000) for the Watch 6 Classic.
There’s little chatter around the Galaxy Tab S9 series. However, recent leaks suggest that Samsung will announce the Tab S9, Tab S9 Plus and Tab S9 Ultra at the launch later this week. The Tab S9 series is expected to feature OLED displays and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset under the hood.
