Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event is said to be scheduled for January 22, 2025, with San Jose, California emerging as the chosen venue. This marks a shift from earlier speculation about San Francisco, though Korean media outlet FNNews had previously suggested San Francisco was under consideration.

The launch event may also showcase additional innovative products, including Samsung's Galaxy XR headset (known internally as Project Moohan) and expanded size options (14- and 15-inch) for the Galaxy Ring, scheduled to launch alongside the S25 series.
The upcoming Galaxy S25 series will likely prioritise artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities while maintaining familiar design elements. A notable design update includes the adoption of rounded corners across all models, including the Ultra variant -- a feature previously limited to the standard and Plus models.
The entire Galaxy S25 lineup will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, marking a departure from initial plans to use the Exynos 2500 in the S25 and S25+ models. This change reportedly comes in the wake of production yield challenges with Samsung's homegrown Exynos chips.
Building on the success of the Galaxy S24's AI features, Samsung aims to strengthen its position in AI-powered smartphones with the S25 series. The launch event is expected to be even more ambitious than its predecessor's unveiling.
The Galaxy S25 family will include three models: the standard S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Pre-reservation opportunities are expected to begin in January, with pre-orders opening during the Unpacked event. The devices are anticipated to hit stores in early February 2025.
