Galaxy S25 line may get Qi2 wireless charging compatibility through specialised cases.
Samsung is slated to unveil its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S25 series, next week. A new leak has revealed detailed specifications and press renders of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models, showcasing key design improvements and technical advancements.
The new models will feature more streamlined bezels, resulting in smaller overall dimensions compared to their predecessors, while maintaining battery capacities. The report also suggests likely Qi2 wireless charging compatibility through specialised cases, similar to OnePlus 13.
The premium Galaxy S25 Ultra is reported to incorporate a 6.9-inch display with an impressive 91.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio. All three models will reportedly use a specially optimised version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and feature 12GB of RAM as standard. Contrary to earlier speculation about a 50MP telephoto camera, the S25 Ultra Ultra model will retain a 10MP telephoto lens but upgrade to a 50MP ultra-wide camera, improving upon the 12MP sensor in its predecessor.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera system maintains the 200MP main sensor while introducing the enhanced 50MP ultra-wide lens. Additional features include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7 support, and a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities. The device measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm and weighs 218g.
The standard S25 and S25+ models offer 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays respectively, with the Plus variant featuring higher resolution. Both models share core specifications including the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 12GB RAM, though storage options vary. The S25 houses a 4000mAh battery with 25W charging, while the S25+ includes a larger 4900mAh battery supporting 45W charging.
All models will launch with Android 15 and Samsung's One UI 7, featuring comprehensive connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and UWB support. The devices will maintain IP68 water and dust resistance certification.
