New renders have emerged claiming to show the design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6.
Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, in the coming months. While details have been sparse so far, new renders have emerged claiming to show the design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6.
The renders come from notable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as OnLeaks, in partnership with Smartprix. They provide a 360-degree view of what the Galaxy Z Fold6 may look like based on design information obtained by OnLeaks.
As per the reported renders, the Galaxy Z Fold6 will continue with the basic foldable design utilized by previous Galaxy Z Fold models. It will feature a larger internal flexible display that folds in half and a second display on the exterior cover. However, a few tweaks and changes are apparent in the new renders.
The corners of the Galaxy Z Fold6 appear slightly sharper according to the renders. More notably, the sides are depicted as entirely flat rather than tapered. This brings the design more in line with Samsung's recently released Galaxy S24 flagship smartphones.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 is rumoured to measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm when unfolded. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5, the Fold6 is approximately 1.4mm shorter but 2.6mm wider than its predecessor. The unchanged thickness hints Samsung may keep the same hinge mechanism.
Cameras, specifications and features are expected to remain similar to previous Z Fold models. This includes a 7.6-inch internal flexible display, a 6.2-inch external screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and flagship-level cameras.
With the Galaxy Z Fold6 still several months away, its full specifications remain unclear. But these initial renders provide an early look at how Samsung may refine the design of its foldable smartphone lineup going forward.
