The new Galaxy A series models will arrive in India by mid-March.
Samsung has teased the launch of new Galaxy A series smartphones, likely to be the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56, via a promotional video on YouTube and X.
It is to be noted that the teaser doesn't explicitly name the devices, it does highlight that the Galaxy A series is popular among over 89 million users globally. Watch the teaser video embedded below.
The new Galaxy A series models will arrive in India by mid-March, following the recent launch of the Galaxy A06 5G.
Samsung has already laid groundwork for the launch, with the devices appearing on Geekbench, TUV Rheinland, Google Play Console, and even on official support pages.
The promotional video highlights several key aspects of the A series, including design elements, durability features, and security capabilities.
Notably, it confirms that upcoming A series devices will receive six major OS upgrades, matching the update policy first introduced with last October's Galaxy A16 5G. This positions the A series just one update behind Samsung's premium Galaxy S and Z lineups.
The purported Galaxy A36, which is said to be unveiled soon, will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and run on Android 15 out of the box. Camera specifications are expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, complemented by 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro lenses, while selfies would be handled by a 12MP front-facing camera.
Pricing is likely to remain consistent with its predecessor, which launched for Rs 30,999 in India.
The higher-tier Galaxy A56 is also likely to launch alongside with Samsung's in-house Exynos 1580 processor, offering 256GB of internal storage.
Camera specifications will likely include a 50MP triple rear camera system, while might come from a hefty 5,000mAh battery.
Like its sibling, the A56 is expected to maintain pricing similar to its predecessor, which debuted at Rs 39,999 in India.
