Second-gen Kia Seltos interior spied: larger 12.3-inch dual screens, Syros-like controls, new steering, and more.
Just before its global unveil on December 10, fresh spy photographs have given a clear view of the upcoming second-generation Kia Seltos' cabin.
The updated compact SUV adopts a modern layout that aligns with Kia’s latest design direction, while retaining some practical elements.
The dashboard now houses a wider connected dual-screen setup. Sources indicate these will be larger 12.3-inch displays, similar to those on the recently launched Kia Syros, replacing the current 10.25-inch units.
Several switches and controls on the centre console and below the infotainment screen also appear borrowed from the Syros, suggesting comparable material quality and fit-finish.
A new three-spoke steering wheel with an offset Kia logo and multiple physical buttons replaces the older unit. Slim horizontal AC vents are neatly integrated into a layered dashboard, and ambient lighting runs across the dash and door panels.
Unlike some rivals that have shifted to triple-screen layouts, Kia has stuck with two screens and kept a good number of tactile controls. A compact gear lever, cup holders with a sliding cover, and aluminium-finish pedals complete the visible changes.
Expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, electric adjustment for the rear seat (boss mode), and a premium sound system.
On the safety front, six airbags, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tyre-pressure monitoring, and Level 2 ADAS are likely to be offered.
From earlier teasers, the exterior will adopt a bolder stance with a larger Tiger Nose grille, vertically stacked headlamps, connected LED tail-lamps, and an overall sharper design inspired by the new Telluride. The body is expected to grow in size, accommodating larger wheels.
Powertrain options will reportedly include a new mild-hybrid version of the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, alongside the carry-over 158 bhp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 115 bhp 1.5-litre diesel units.
The second-generation Seltos is likely to command a moderate premium over the current model (₹10.79-19.81 lakh ex-showroom) when it reaches India in early 2026. It will compete in a crowded segment which includes the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, VW Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Skoda Kushaq.
