The Simple Wave serves as Simple Energy's first dedicated family e-scooter, starting at ₹1.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Stepping away from sharp, performance-heavy styling, the Wave prioritises overall practical utility, rider comfort, and everyday usability.

Built for Maximum Utility

Depending on the chosen variant, the scooter comes with either a 7-inch TFT screen or a 5-inch LCD console. Both displays support Bluetooth, navigation, and call/SMS alerts. Storage is a major highlight, featuring a 70-litre boot space, a spacious floorboard with an integrated floor light, and pop-out side panel compartments called 'Pill Storage' for smaller items.

The scooter also includes all-LED lighting, a USB Type-C charging port, a 775 mm seat height, a 920 mm dual-adult seat, and 175 mm of ground clearance.

Wide Range of Variants

Performance and battery capacities vary across the lineup. The top-tier Wave + carries a 5 kWh battery with an IDC range of 243 km, a top speed of 90 km/h, and a 0 to 40 km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds.

Mid-range models use 3.7 kWh and 2.7 kWh battery packs yielding 171 km and 132 km ranges, while the entry model uses a 2.2 kWh pack delivering a 110 km range. Lower trims top out at 75 km/h. All battery options feature IP67 water resistance and 300 mm water-wading capability.

Silent Power and Fast Charging

Most variants are powered by an in-house developed 6.4 kW PMSM motor generating 179 Nm of wheel torque, while the base version utilises a 4.5 kW motor. Transmission noise is minimised using a patented HushDrive system with rubber dampeners.

For replenishment, fast charging takes the battery from 0 to 80% in anywhere between 70 minutes and 2 hours 15 minutes, depending on the pack size.

Digital Cockpit and Smart Tech

Depending on the variant, the Simple Wave comes with either a top-tier 7-inch TFT screen or a 5-inch LCD dashboard. Both displays serve as a fully digital instrument cluster, delivering essential riding data such as speed, battery percentage, real-time remaining range, and active riding modes.

Beyond standard telemetry, the screen integrates Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation alongside live call and SMS alerts on the move. Higher-tier models also leverage this digital display to manage advanced features like traction control, hill-hold assist, and real-time battery health diagnostics.

Full Price List Not Revealed

While the Wave starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.09 lakh, there is quite a lot of difference between the equipment levels of the base and top variants. Simple Energy did not reveal the full price list at launch, but do expect the higher variants to be quite a bit more expensive.
