Skoda Auto has started accepting bookings for the Kodiaq RS in India, with a token amount set at ₹3 lakh. The company plans to introduce just 50 units in the initial phase, positioning the SUV as the flagship of its current India portfolio. The Kodiaq RS marks a shift in Skoda’s RS strategy in the country, becoming the first model under the performance badge apart from the Octavia. Pricing is expected to fall in the ₹55 lakh to ₹60 lakh range (ex-showroom).
Under the bonnet, the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder ‘EA888’ turbo-petrol engine producing 265hp and 400Nm, an increase of 30Nm over the Octavia RS. The powertrain is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and features an all-wheel-drive system. The combination delivers a claimed 0–100 kmph acceleration time of 6.3 seconds, while top speed is rated at 231 kmph.

The model also introduces Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus, an adaptive suspension system not offered on the India-spec Octavia RS. The setup provides 15 levels of damping adjustment and is integrated into multiple drive modes, including Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, Snow and Off-Road, allowing drivers to tailor the vehicle’s behaviour across different conditions.
On the exterior, the RS variant adopts a more aggressive design compared to the standard Kodiaq, with revised bumpers, gloss black accents, RS badging, 20-inch alloy wheels, a larger roof spoiler and twin exhaust outlets. Buyers will have a choice of four paint options: Magic Black, Moon White, Steel Grey and Velvet Red.
Inside, the SUV features a sport-oriented cabin with a three-spoke RS steering wheel, front sports seats, red contrast stitching and an all-black theme. The seven-seater layout is retained, alongside a comprehensive equipment list.
Key features include a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, powered front seats with ventilation, heating, massage and memory functions, a 360-degree camera, and an advanced driver assistance system suite. Safety is supported by nine airbags, while a 13-speaker Canton audio system, powered tailgate and other convenience features are also part of the package.
