Škoda has revealed the Slavia facelift in India featuring subtle cosmetic updates, added interior technology including a 360-degree camera and massaging rear seats. But, are these changes enticing enough?
Škoda recently introduced the first mid-cycle facelift for its Slavia midsize sedan, however, the updated model has just been revealed, with its prices still undisclosed.
The update introduces minor cosmetic tweaks, enhanced cabin features, and a revised automatic transmission option while retaining its core mechanical foundation.
Exterior modifications are concentrated at the front and rear. The front gets a redesigned bumper featuring a full-width trim strip and smaller LED fog lamps, along with twin black bars replacing the chrome surround on the grille. While the headlamp housings remain unchanged, the internal LED elements and daytime running light signatures have been updated.

The side profile retains its existing silhouette and proportions, but gains new two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the tail-lamp cluster receives revised internal graphics, and the brand name is now set within a dedicated plastic trim strip on the bootlid. Two new exterior paint options, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, have also been added to the colour palette.
Inside, the cabin transitions from a dual-tone beige-and-black layout to fully beige seats with a new pattern. The digital instrument cluster grows to 10.25 inches (up from 8 inches), while the 10.1-inch central touchscreen now incorporates a Google Cloud-powered AI assistant alongside the display for a new 360-degree camera. Additionally, the outer rear seats now offer a massaging function, just like on the Kushaq facelift.

Features carried over from the outgoing model include a cooled glovebox, powered and ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold control, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
Engine options remain unchanged. Applying standard unit conversions, the 1.0-litre direct-injection three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine outputs 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre direct-injection four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
The 1.0-litre unit continues with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, but its optional automatic is upgraded to a new eight-speed torque-converter gearbox. The 1.5-litre engine remains available exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
