The Škoda Slavia facelift gets a mid-life update with a subtle exterior refresh, a new automatic transmission option, and two new segment-first features, among other changes.
Škoda Auto India has unveiled the 2026 Škoda Slavia facelift. Bookings are open for the new Slavia, while deliveries are set to commence from later this month. Prices have not yet been announced, but are expected soon.
The new Škoda Slavia gets a subtle styling refresh, new features in the cabin, and an all-new automatic transmission option too. The engine options remain the same. The update arrives four years after the Slavia first went on sale in India, and addresses some of its shortcomings while introducing new segment-first features.
The updated Slavia looks refreshing with the design getting subtle updates. The reworked grille looks bigger and bolder, and comes with chrome inserts. It’s not illuminated, however, as seen on the recent Kushaq facelift. The headlamps now get LEDs and a new LED DRL pattern as well as LED fog lamps. The bumper has been tweaked with a new mesh pattern for a revised look. The profile remains the same, save for the new 16-inch alloy wheels, and you now get new LED taillights with sequential turn indicators.
There are two new colours on offer, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. While the former will be available immediately, the latter will be available to order from December 2026 onwards. The Slavia continues to be offered in six variants: Classic, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo Edition adds sportier accents to the sedan, including red highlights on the grille, a blacked-out interior, and red brake calipers.

The cabin remains the same with no changes in the overall layout. The beige and black theme continues, and so does the dual-spoke steering wheel and single-pane sunroof. The front seats are electrically adjustable and come with ventilation. Škoda has also made automatic climate control standard across all trims. There’s a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system available with the Signature trim onwards. The size hasn’t changed but it now comes with a segment-first AI Assistant powered by Google Cloud. The feature allows you to adjust temperature or blower speed, as well as increase or decrease audio volume. It’s is compatible with English for now, but can understand the Indian English accent well, the company says.
The big change comes to the rear seats, now with a massage function thrown in. This segment-first feature first appeared with the Kushaq facelift and is available on the top trims on both models.
Furthermore, the Slavia gets a new 10.2-inch Virtual Cockpit cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and a 360-degree camera view for extra visibility. There are six airbags along with ABS + EBD and 25 other safety features as standard, but still no ADAS on this sedan.
Under the bonnet, the Slavia continues with its two turbo-petrol engine options. However, the 1.0 TSI now comes with an 8-speed automatic option, replacing the 6-speed torque converter. This promises more relaxed gear shifts and even better fuel efficiency. The 6-speed manual remains available as well. Power output remains the same at 114 bhp and 178 Nm. Enthusiasts can choose the 1.5 TSI churning out 148 bhp and 250 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic. There is no manual on offer with the 1.5 TSI.
The Škoda Slavia facelift is up to speed with its rivals such as the Hyundai Verna and Honda City, both of which received revisions this year. There’s also the Volkswagen Virtus, scheduled for an update later this year, in the same segment.
