Boutique supercar manufacturer Spyker has announced its return under founder Victor Muller and new co-owner Volodymyr Nosov, unveiling the C8 Preliator XXV Coupé, an 800 bhp manual supercar limited to 25 customisable units.

Dutch supercar manufacturer Spyker has announced its return to the automotive industry with the unveiling of the C8 Preliator XXV Coupé. Following years of financial instability and a failed venture with Saab, brand founder Victor Muller has resumed control of the company alongside new co-owner Volodymyr Nosov, a Ukrainian-born cryptocurrency entrepreneur.

The XXV designation marks a revised iteration of the Preliator nameplate, derived from the Latin word for warrior, which Spyker initially showcased in 2016. The C8 Preliator XXV Coupé is built around a completely redesigned spaceframe chassis engineered entirely in-house, wrapped in newly shaped aluminium body panels manufactured by Coventry Prototype Panels in Britain.

Visually, the supercar incorporates prominent aviation-inspired design elements, including multiple NACA ducts, a roof scoop fitted with a vertical fin, jet afterburner-style rear tail-lights, and rocket-inspired isogrid lattice patterning across its air grilles and cooling vents.

Power comes from a mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine generating 800 bhp and 1,001 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the wheels exclusively through a traditional manual transmission featuring Spyker's signature exposed shift linkage.

Inside, the cabin eschews large infotainment screens in favour of a driver-focused, analogue environment lined with premium leather, aluminium trim, physical gauges, and a small head-up display. Spyker plans to produce a limited run of 25 individually customisable units, though official pricing has not yet been announced.

As part of its future strategy, the company also intends to return to GT3 motorsport and continue development on its long-standing D8 Peking-to-Paris SUV concept.
