Steelbird produced 9.85 million helmets in FY26 with ₹869 crore revenue, expanded capacity to 60,000 units daily, and is targeting ₹1,000 crore revenue with new launches in FY27.
Steelbird Hi-Tech India has reported a strong performance for FY2025-26, producing 9.85 million helmets during the fiscal year while recording a gross revenue of ₹869 crore. The company is now targeting ₹1,000 crore in revenue for FY2026-27, supported by an aggressive product and capacity expansion strategy.
As part of its growth plans, Steelbird has increased its daily production capacity to 60,000 helmets. This scale-up has been driven by enhanced automation, process optimisation and expanded manufacturing capabilities across its facilities. The company, which claims to be the world’s largest helmet manufacturer, is also preparing to introduce 12 new models spanning the mid and premium segments in the coming year.
On the retail front, Steelbird continues to strengthen its presence through its exclusive Rider Shop network, which has now grown to over 350 outlets nationwide. This expansion has enabled the brand to deepen its reach across metro cities as well as Tier 2 and emerging markets.
Talking about the performance, Managing Director Rajeev Kapur highlighted that the company’s growth is rooted in its focus on safety, scale and accessibility. He noted that rising two-wheeler usage in India is driving increased demand for high-quality protective gear, positioning the company for sustained growth.
Looking ahead, Steelbird has outlined ambitious long-term targets, aiming to scale up production to 25 million helmets annually and achieve a turnover of ₹2,500 crore by FY2032-33. With continued investments in technology, design innovation and distribution, the company is positioning itself to capitalise on India’s growing mobility ecosystem while promoting road safety.
