Gurugram-based SunFuel has joined hands with EV charging company Glida to set up AC and DC fast chargers across the country. These chargers will be primarily located around highways and premium destinations like hotels, and resorts. Via this partnership, SunFuel will provide the location, while Glida will look after and manage the plug-and-play chargers installed at the sites. SunFuel officials said that these chargers will have up to 200 kW capacity – thus making it compatible with all kinds of cars, whether it is a Mahindra BE SUV or a smaller Tata Nexon.ev.
“This partnership is a positive-sum game that benefits the EV users as much as it helps the hosting partners with a slick, and well-managed facility. By combining Glida’s expertise in EV Charging technology with SunFuel’s innovative design and site management capabilities, we aim to set a new standard for EV charging experience in India. Our joint efforts will ensure state-of-the-art charging infrastructure replete with world-class amenities that users must get on highways,” said Awadesh Kumar Kha, CEO of Glida.
Via this new partnership, SunFuel will further transform the charging stations with into integrated hubs with provisions for retail counters, quick service outlets, and express car maintenance. Additionally, the charging hubs will also have clean washrooms and leisure amenities. Along with that, SunFuel will also incorporate solar power generators to power the facilities in the charging hubs.
