Besides the exclusive paint, there are several easter egg design elements hidden all over this special edition Hayabusa.
Completing a quarter of a century of production is quite a remarkable feat especially if it's by a bike that goes by the name of Hayabusa.
For more than two decades now, the Suzuki Hayabusa has been the epitome of sport touring. Neatly packaged by that Peregrine Falcon-inspired fairing that gave it a suave and yet aggressive appeal. Coupled with that smooth-sailing inline-four cylinder 1340 cc engine that could take you to 312 kmph in a jiffy – the Suzuki Hayabusa has been an icon in every sense and it continues to be so. To commemorate the 25th year of production of such a special bike, Suzuki India today launched the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition at ₹17.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Although mechanically unchanged, unique with this special edition Hayabusa is that striking orange and black paint job. It certainly does make the Hayabusa look loud, but nothing obnoxious. Further adding to its exclusivity are hidden design details like the “25th-anniversary” emblem and a new Suzuki 3D logo on the fuel tank, the “25th Anniversary logo” on the muffler, and distinctive V-shaped decals on the black cowl. Further hidden are gold-anodized brake inner rotor and drive chain adjusters, along with the “Hayabusa Kanji” logo on the drive chain.
The new Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition will be available across all Suzuki dealerships in India starting today. Based on the 3rd gen Hayabusa which retails at ₹16.98 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the special edition Hayabusa is just ₹12,000 more. While Suzuki has not mentioned the exact number of units of this special edition Hayabusa that will be available, we expect them to be limited and stocks should last until this year at the most.
