Suzuki had already showcased the middleweight adventure motorcycle at the maiden Bharat Mobility Expo.
Fresh from releasing its first teaser image, Suzuki India has now confirmed that on March 29 it will launch the V-Strom 800DE. The marque had already unveiled the middleweight adventure motorcycle in India at the inaugural Bharat Mobility Expo in February.
Powered by Suzuki’s 776 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, in the ADV it produces 84.3 bhp and 78 Nm. Coupled with its 270-degree crank, the V-Strom 800DE should have a distinct rumble, reminiscent of a V-twin engine. Making it further easier to ride in choc-a-bloc traffic and difficult terrain is its Low RPM assist feature, which will keep it from stalling.
Being an ADV, the hardware and features available with the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE will cater to both on-road and off-road capability. From switchable traction control to multiple ride modes (including a dedicated Gravel mode) - the V-Strom 800DE is suspended on upside-down forks and a monoshock with remote preload adjuster. It rides on 21/17-inch wheels wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres and has a ground clearance of 220 mm. However, unlike the old 650 NXT, the V-Strom 800 DE’s spoke wheels will not get tubeless options.

We expect the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE to launch in India priced between ₹10-11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In this price range, it will compete against adventure motorcycles like the BMW F 850 GS, and the Triumph Tiger 900 adventure motorcycles.
