Tata Altroz Racer Launch Tomorrow: All You Need To Know

The Tata Altroz Racer is launching in India on June 7, 2024. Tata Motors has already opened bookings for the Altroz Racer for a token amount of ₹21,000 and is expected to be priced from ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom, India) onwards. Ahead of the launch tomorrow, here’s what you need to know. 

Design 

The Altroz Racer will not be very different from the standard Altroz. However, it will have a few changes like a dual-tone paint scheme, twin racing strips, different alloy wheel design, ‘Racer’ badges on the exterior as well as minimal use of chrome. 

Interior

Inside, the biggest change to the standard Altroz will be the addition of the new 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Altroz Racer will also come with ventilated seats, ambient lighting, contrast stitching, a 360-degree camera, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a sunroof and a wireless charger. 

Powertrain

Under the hood, the Altroz Racer will get the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon. This engine will produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm, 10 bhp and 30 Nm more than the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in the Altroz i-Turbo. The Altroz Racer will get a 6-speed manual gearbox. 

Price & Rival

The Altroz is currently priced between ₹6.65 - 10.65 lakh and the Racer version is expected to be priced between ₹10 - 11 lakh. The Altroz Racer will directly compete with the i20 N Line which is priced between ₹10 - 12.52 lakh. (All prices, ex-showroom, India)
