While Arcus is a more urban-friendly daily commuter, Airborne is more focussed on all-terrain readiness.
As cities grapple with congestion and rising fuel costs, e-bikes are steadily emerging as a viable alternative for short-distance travel. Tata Group-backed Stryder Cycle has strengthened its presence in India’s growing electric mobility space with the launch of two new e-bikes — Airborne and Arcus — priced at ₹42,995 and ₹34,995, respectively.
The introduction aligns with the brand’s broader push towards sustainable, practical transportation solutions tailored for urban users. The new electric bicycles aim to address everyday commuting needs while also appealing to riders seeking versatility and convenience.
Focus on Practical Urban Mobility
Stryder’s latest offerings are positioned around accessibility and usability. Both electric cycles come with a 2-year warranty on the battery. The company emphasises that both Airborne and Arcus are designed with modern city lifestyles in mind — covering everything from daily office commutes to quick errands and leisure rides.
In contrast, the Arcus e-bike is more clearly focused on urban commuting efficiency. It comes equipped with a 36V 11.6Ah removable battery, offering a higher claimed range of up to 60 km on a single charge. The model incorporates a multi-colour LCD display with integrated lighting controls, along with a 50-lumen front light and a rear light for improved visibility.

A mobile charging port is also included, addressing practical needs for on-the-go users. With its emphasis on range and convenience features, Arcus appears tailored for regular city riders who prioritise dependability and ease of use over rugged capability.

The Airborne model is engineered for riders who want more than just urban commuting capability. With a rugged setup and all-terrain readiness, it is built to handle varied road conditions beyond city limits. It features a 10.4 Ah battery delivering a claimed range of up to 35 km, along with a fast-charging system that can replenish the battery in roughly three hours. The inclusion of extra-wide 4-inch tyres enhances grip and stability, especially on uneven surfaces.

Additional elements such as a smart LCD display and multiple riding modes further add to its versatility. Overall, the Airborne positions itself as a capable option for users looking to combine daily usability with occasional off-road exploration.
