Tata Motors has crossed another major milestone with its 9,00,000th commercial vehicle rollout from its Lucknow facility. To celebrate this occasion a flag-off ceremony was conducted (pictured above) which saw the presence of Durga Shanker Mishra, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and senior delegates from the company.
Spread across 600 acres, Tata Motors' Lucknow facility has been in production since 1992. Two major highlights of the Lucknow facility include the 6MW solar power plant and the robotic technology used in its paint booths and welding stations for the production of its passenger commercial vehicles including light, intermediate, and heavy commercial vehicles.

Speaking on this occasion, Vishal Badshah, Vice President and Head of operations, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “The rollout of our 9,00,000th vehicle from the Lucknow facility is a momentous occasion for Tata Motors. This facility has been pivotal in the manufacturing of our advanced electric buses, and has successfully delivered over 1200 units, which have cumulatively clocked lakhs of kilometres across the country.”
“Through the integration of cutting-edge technologies, we have optimised our operations, streamlined workflows, and elevated our standards of production to deliver superior vehicles that exceed customer expectations,” further explained Mahesh Suguru, Plant Head, Lucknow, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles.
