Tata Motors Reports Strong Global Wholesale Performance In Q4 FY24

In the final quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24, Tata Motors Group showcased robust performance in global wholesales, marked by notable increases in certain segments. The conglomerate's total global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, stood at 377,432 units, reflecting an 8 per cent surge compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Tata Motors' commercial vehicle division, alongside Tata Daewoo, witnessed a slight downturn in global wholesales, totalling 111,591 units, marking a 6 per cent decrease from Q4 FY23 figures. This dip could be attributed to various factors, including market dynamics and economic conditions affecting demand.

However, the standout performer in Q4 FY24 was Tata Motors' passenger vehicle segment, which experienced a substantial uptick. Global wholesales of Tata Motors' passenger vehicles reached 155,651 units, demonstrating a 15 per cent increase compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal year. This surge reflects the success of Tata Motors' strategic initiatives and the growing popularity of its passenger vehicle offerings in key markets.

A significant contributor to Tata Motors Group's overall performance was the performance of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). JLR reported global wholesales of 110,190 vehicles, marking a 16 per cent increase over Q4 FY23. Within the JLR portfolio, Jaguar contributed 13,528 units, while Land Rover accounted for 96,662 units.
