Tata Motors (formerly Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles) has alerted regulatory and financial authorities in India that it has just finalised cumulative orders for over 5,000 buses, and is under contract with multiple state transport undertakings from various parts of India. The tenders were executed in accordance with the Government of India’s official online procurement systems.
The orders have come from MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation), GSRTC (Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation), NWKRTC (North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation), TGSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation), BSRTC (Bihar State Road Transport Corporation), RSRTC (Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation), KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation), Department of Road Transport (Haryana Roadways), and CTU (Chandigarh Transport Undertaking).
The company has not specified how many buses each state transportation authority has ordered, or what type.
