The Tata Sierra EV is expected to go head to head with other popular electric rivals such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and MG ZS EV.
The Sierra EV will officially launch in India tomorrow, 30 June 2026. This will be the seventh addition to Tata’s evergrowing electric passenger vehicle portfolio.
Since the combustion engine Tata Sierra is positioned between the Curvv and Harrier in the company’s lineup, it’s no surprise that the electric version will follow the same path. The Curvv EV starts at ₹16.99 lakh ex-showroom, white the Harrier EV starts at ₹21.49 lakh, so, we expect the Sierra EV to start at around ₹19-20 lakh ex-showroom, and go all the way up to around ₹25-26 lakh. While not confirmed, Tata could make the pricing more competitive by offering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) on the Sierra EV.
The higher variants of the Tata Sierra EV will feature a premium triple-screen dashboard layout. This setup is expected to include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, a large 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, and a secondary 12.3-inch entertainment screen dedicated to the front passenger.

In contrast, base models will likely stick to a traditional dual-screen setup but will add a sharp head-up display. Premium features across the lineup will include a vast panoramic glass sunroof, ventilated and multi-way electrically adjustable front seats, a high-end multi-speaker sound system, and selectable drive modes.
Built on Tata's acti.ev+ architecture, the Sierra EV shares its mechanical foundation with the upcoming Harrier EV. It is expected to offer identical battery setups, featuring a baseline 65 kWh pack for the lower specifications and a long-range 75 kWh pack for the higher trims. Base models will adopt a rear-wheel-drive layout, while the top-tier variants will come standard with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration.
