Tata’s electric Sierra is available in five personas with two battery packs, and optional Quad Wheel Drive on the top trim.
Tata Motors has launched the Sierra EV with a broad variant spread aimed at both value-conscious EV buyers and customers looking for a premium, feature-rich electric SUV. The variant ladder shows Tata positioning the Sierra EV as a tech-heavy family SUV rather than a stripped-down electric derivative.
The Sierra EV range starts at ₹18.79 lakh for the Pure 63 kWh rear-wheel-drive version and extends to ₹25.99 lakh for the Empowered A 75 kWh Quad Wheel Drive version, with the 7.2 kW AC charger available separately for ₹49,000.
The lineup begins with the Pure persona, offered only with the 63 kWh battery pack. Despite being the entry variant, it is not positioned as a basic trim. It gets bi-LED projector headlamps, connected LED DRLs and tail-lamps, 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, flush door handles, a shark-fin antenna, rear sunshades, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker audio system, Amazon Alexa voice assistance, cruise control, paddle shifters for regen modes, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a cooled glovebox, OTA updates, and connected-car technology.
Its safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, hill hold, hill descent control, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear camera with sensors, TPMS and ISOFIX mounts.
Pure S sits above it, also with the 63 kWh pack. Its key role is to add more comfort and lifestyle appeal, led by the panoramic sunroof and additional convenience equipment. For buyers who want the Sierra EV’s core design and cabin technology without moving to the larger battery, this is likely to be the step-up urban variant.
The Adventure trim is where the range opens up more meaningfully. It is available with both 63 kWh and 75 kWh rear-wheel-drive configurations, priced from ₹20.99 lakh and ₹22.19 lakh respectively. It adds a stronger tech flavour, including features such as the JBL Black 12-speaker audio system with SonicShaft soundbar, Dolby Atmos, Arcade.ev app suite, AirConsole gaming, DrivePay in-car UPI functionality, built-in navigation, and enhanced camera-based assistance, depending on the package.

Empowered pushes the Sierra EV into a more premium cabin space. Available with 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery options, it brings the Horizon View triple-screen layout, comprising a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Other equipment includes powered and ventilated front seats, a driver memory function, dual-zone climate control, richer upholstery, rear armrest, 60:40 split rear seats, and added cabin ambience.
At the top sits Empowered A, offered with only the 75 kWh battery. In rear-wheel-drive form, it is priced at ₹24.79 lakh, while the Quad Wheel Drive version costs ₹25.99 lakh. This trim adds the Sierra EV’s headline technology, including a head-up display, Level 2+ ADAS with 22 functions, e-Valet parking assistance with automatic parking, remote park, summon and reverse assist, plus the 540-degree camera system with transparent mode. The QWD version further adds a dual-motor setup, 504 Nm of torque, Boost Mode, a claimed 0-100 kmph time of 5.8 seconds, six terrain modes, Off-Road Assist, and 205 mm ground clearance.
Battery choices are central to the variant strategy. The 63 kWh version offers a claimed MIDC range of 565 km, while the 75 kWh rear-wheel-drive version is rated at 665 km. With QWD, it's rated at 624 km. Tata also claims 20-80 per cent DC fast charging in about 26 minutes using a 120 kW charger. You also get V2L and V2V capabilities and a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, defined as 15 years from the first registration, subject to ownership conditions.
With rivals such as the Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara in its competitive orbit, the Sierra EV’s variant structure is designed to cover a wide price and feature band. The lower trims focus on range, safety, and core technology, while the upper variants use screens, ADAS, parking automation, and QWD capability to give Tata a stronger play in India’s fast-premiumising electric SUV market.
