The feat was made possible by the U9's revolutionary Disus-X intelligent body control system.

In a jaw-dropping demonstration of its advanced technology, BYD's luxury electric brand, Yangwang, showcased the incredible capabilities of its U9 supercar. In a recently released video, the U9 autonomously navigated a challenging course, effortlessly leaping over potholes, a field of road spikes, and even a patch of loose gravel.

The feat was made possible by the U9's revolutionary Disus-X intelligent body control system. This cutting-edge technology allows for suspension control, enabling the vehicle to lift itself off the ground and clear obstacles with remarkable precision.

The video has quickly gone viral, further solidifying the Yangwang U9's position as a technological marvel. The first obstacle it encounters is a wide, 2.5-metre-long pothole filled with water, which it easily jumps and crosses.

The next obstacle is a field of road spikes with a height of about 3.5 centimetres which yet again it effortlessly manages to go over.

BYD didn’t provide any other details about the test, such as what ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance system) was used.

The U9 is powered by four electric motors with a combined power of 1287 bhp and 1,680 Nm peak torque. It can accelerate 0-100 kmph in 2.36 seconds.
