Top 5 Bikes To Launch in 2025.jpg

Here’s our pick of the top 5 motorcycles which will make its debut in 2025.

New year, new excitement and new beginnings. It also means another year of intrigue and excitement as a whole bunch of motorcycles and scooters are heading our way in 2025. While 2025 might not be able to match the sheer volume of new bikes which were launched last year, there are some heavy hitters headed our way. Here’s our list of the top 5 new bikes which will be launched in 2025.

Royal Enfield Classic 650

India Launch - Early 2025

Expected pricing - ₹3.40-3.60 lakh (ex-showroom)

Royal Enfield Classic 650.jpg

The Classic 350 is the most important bike for the company as it not only saved RE from the verge of bankruptcy but also gave it a new identity. So, the Classic 650 has really large shoes to fill and it will be the most important bike in the 650 Twin family. The styling of the bike as expected is based on the Classic 350, with the headlight, mudguard and overall shape being common with the most popular RE.

However, in terms of proportions, the Classic 650 is larger and has twin exhaust pipes. Powering the bike is the same 650 cc engine tune and we are a big fan of this motor for its high torque nature, refinement and ability to hold triple digit speeds.

What we aren’t a big fan of is the weight of the Classic 650 as it’s the heaviest bike from Royal Enfield. So if you wanted to upgrade from the Classic 350 or any other sub-400 cc roadster, the Classic 650 does look like a good option, but we will give a proper affirmation after riding it on our roads.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure

India Launch - February, 2025

Expected pricing - ₹3.30-3.70 lakh (ex-showroom)

The other big ticket launch of 2025 has to be the KTM 390 ADV. Ever since the bike was showcased at the EICMA motorcycle show last year, we have been eagerly waiting for it to make its India debut. The 2nd generation 390 Adventure R looks properly radical with its Dakar bike-inspired styling, which is sure to turn heads wherever you go. But the real fun of the bike is in its engine and underpinnings. The new 390 ADV will be powered by the 399cc engine that we saw on the 390 Duke, and if it shares the same performance figures, the 390 ADV promises to offer a thrilling ride.

Now you could cruise at triple digit speeds in a calm manner and talking about cruising, it’s the first bike in its segment to get cruise control. The hardware has been transformed too as you get fully adjustable and long travel suspension on both ends, which should massively improve the ride quality issues of the first gen 390 ADV. The new bike promises to be the perfect ADV all-rounder that we have been waiting for.

Hero XPulse 421

India Launch - July, 2025

Expected pricing - ₹2.50-2.70 lakh (ex-showroom)

Hero Xpulse 421.png

Carrying the ADV baton forward is the Hero XPulse 421. Yes, it’s much delayed, but then again, it’s better late than be sorry, I am sure Royal Enfield agrees to this. Hero hasn’t revealed much details, but we saw a few sketches of the bike at 2024 EICMA. From the sketches we can make out that Hero designers are taking a completely new design language for the ADV, and the bike looks sporty and premium with the sleek headlight and fascia.

Powering the bike will be a 421 cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which should be powerful enough for riding through trails and doing the long hours on the highway. The bike uses a trellis frame, long travel suspension, spoke wheels and dual-purpose rubber. On the features front, it gets a TFT screen and we expect Bluetooth connectivity.

We really hope the upcoming XPulse 421 is lighter than the RE Himalayan 450 as the XPulse 210 is renowned for its lightweight and agile nature. The company claims that the bike has been developed with inputs from its Dakar Rally riders so it promises to have good off-road performance. Hero products are renowned for their aggressive pricing and it will be interesting to see if the XPulse 421 manages to undercut the RE Himalayan or not.

Aprilia Tuono 457

India Launch - February, 2025

Expected pricing - ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom)

Aprilia Tuono 457.jpg

Let’s move on to something sporty and Italian. The RS 457 was among the best new bikes we rode in 2024 and Aprilia will be following it up with the Tuono 457. It’s basically a comfier avatar of the RS 457 as it gets flat handlebar and the riding posture is more upright. However, the styling of the bike is very different and unlike the larger Tuono bikes in Aprilia’s portfolio, personally not a big fan of the headlight design and it just looks weird to my eyes. The engine is the same 457 cc, twin-cylinder motor as seen on the RS 457, and I am a big fan of this engine for its thrilling acceleration, the torquey mid-range and the way it sounds.

Underpinnings are also the same, so expect it to be a delight around corners and a nightmare on bad roads. And the same TFT instrument cluster and the electronic aids will be carried forward from its super sport sibling. The Tuono 457 can be a good option for someone looking for thrilling performance, but don’t prefer the aggressive riding stance of the RS 457, but I still can’t get over its styling!

BMW F 450 GS

India Launch - November, 2025

Expected pricing - ₹4.50-5 lakh (ex-showroom)

BMW F 450 GS

Probably the most intriguing and interesting bike that I am looking forward to riding is the F 450 GS. This new bike will be the successor of the BMW G 310 GS. BMW showcased the concept version of the same at the 2024 EICMA bike show and it looks like a scaled-down G 1300 GS.

The twin-cylinder engine should be refined and with 48 bhp at your disposal, cruising speeds on the highway will be good. BMW Motorrad also claimed that the weight of the bike would be 178 kg and if it could deliver on this front, it would be 18 kg lighter than the Himalayan 450. The other big advantage will be the fact that the production-version of the F 450 GS will be manufactured by TVS so the pricing could be competitive and not overly premium.
