Meet Triumph’s new 350cc Bonnevilles, featuring classic looks and modern technology.
Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the Bonneville T40 and T40 Black, bringing the brand’s classic roadster styling to its 350 cc range. The new models pair traditional Bonneville details with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine and modern rider technology. The Triumph Bonneville T40 gets heritage-inspired two-tone paint with hand-painted coach lining, while the Bonneville T40 Black has a darker finish. The Bonneville T40 is offered in three colour schemes: Aegean Blue and Fusion White; Meriden Blue and Tangerine Orange; and New England White and Jet Black. The T40 Black gets its own Matt Pewter Grey and Matt Phantom Black combination, with blacked-out components and gloss-black wheel rims.
The Triumph Bonneville T40 & T40 Black have been priced at ₹2.80 lakh whereas the Bonneville T4 will retail for ₹2.55 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). Online bookings for the motorcycles start from October 7. As for deliveries, the Bonneville T40 & T40 Black will be handed out to customers in the second week of November, 2026. Deliveries for the Triumph Bonneville T4 will commence from the second week of January, 2027.

The styling of the bike has been inspired from the classic Bonnevilles of the past and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Another big step-up is in the proportions as the new bike looks much bigger than the Triumph Speed 400. Its flowing lines and balanced proportions shape a timeless silhouette, with a teardrop fuel tank (14.5 litres capacity), round headlight, longer mudguards and peashooter silencer.
Classically styled fork, twin rear shocks and spoked wheels complete the heritage-inspired look, recalling the appeal of 1960s Bonnevilles. The tank’s sculpted shape gives the bike an elegant presence, highlighted by heritage-inspired paint schemes and hand-painted coach lining. Rubber knee pads and Triumph’s three-bar badge add traditional finishing touches. The Bonneville T40 sports an LED headlight to give it a dash of modernity.

The Bonneville T40 and T40 Black use a dedicated version of Triumph’s liquid-cooled 350 cc TR Series engine. The international-spec model will be powered by a 400 cc motor. The India-spec engine produces 29.1 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 31.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike employs a 6-speed gearbox. Both bikes feature three riding modes - Road, Rain and Eco, plus two customisable modes. Each riding mode adjusts throttle response, traction control and ABS settings. Other goodies on the Triumph Bonneville 350 cc include cruise control, lean-sensitive cornering ABS and traction control.
The Bonneville T40 debuts a new 4-inch circular TFT instrument unit, while purists would have preferred a twin-pod analogue console. Riders do have an option to switch to a Heritage Mode screen with an analogue-style layout. The display supports smartphone connectivity, music and call controls, and full map navigation through the Triumph Navigation App. Other features include full LED lighting, self-cancelling indicators, a USB-C charging socket and Emergency Deceleration Warning, which flashes the rear light during hard braking. The Triumph Bonneville T4 misses out on traction control, cruise control and instead gets a LCD instrument console featuring turn-by-turn navigation, ride modes and dual-channel ABS.

The T40 has an upright riding position as expected from a roadster and the seat height seems to be accessible at 790 mm. Triumph says an optional low seat can reduce this to 770mm. The new Bonneville weighs 191 kg and the addition in the weight is courtesy the new frame, twin shock rear suspension and the center stand. The new Bonneville T40 employs a tubular steel frame which is suspended on a 43 mm dia telescopic fork and a twin shock absorber. It rides on 18/17-inch spoke wheels which aren’t tubeless and there is no option of an alloy wheel as well.
Triumph also lists service intervals of 10,000 miles (16,000km). The new Triumph Bonneville 350 cc is expected to go on sale by late October, 2026 in India and will compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 350 and the Honda CB350. As for pricing we expect the 2026 Triumph Bonneville T40 to be priced around ₹2.60-2.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
