The TVS Jupiter comprised 63 per cent of the 10 million scooters that TVS retailed in the last 10 years.
The TVS Jupiter clocked in its best-ever fiscal sales and in FY2024 the Hosur-based manufacturer retailed a total of 8,44,863 units of the scooter. This is a 16 per cent year-over-year growth as against the 7,29,546 units it retailed in FY2023. Moreover, the TVS Jupiter has also crossed its 6.43 million cumulative domestic sales milestone since its launch almost a decade ago.
This makes the TVS Jupiter, the brand’s most successful scooter in its history. Such was the sales success of the Jupiter that it managed to surpass the sales of the popular offering such as the TVS Raider, XL, and the Apache series, all of which retailed 4,78,443 units, 4,81,803 units, and 3,78,112 units, respectively.

In addition to its best-ever cumulative domestic sales, TVS also exported 80,000 units of its mass-centric scooter. Speaking of exports, TVS recently entered the Italian market. The brand entered the iconic automotive nation in collaboration with Dr Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari who will spearhead TVS Motor Italia.
Continuous updates and the introduction of several new variants have kept the TVS Jupiter up-to-date and relevant. The latest being in August 2023, when the TVS Jupiter gained a mid-level model christened the ZX drum variant priced at ₹84,468 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It also comes with the new Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect technology which gets you several connectivity features like turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, and notification alerts.
Currently, the TVS Jupiter is now available with two engine options - 100 cc and 125 cc – and in five variants – SMW, Base, ZX, ZX Drum SmartXonnect, ZX Disc SmartXonnect, and Classic. Prices range from ₹73,340 and go up to ₹89,748 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The TVS Jupiter was a turnaround product for TVS in the scooter segment as after the Scooty series scooter sales were dwindling. The Jupiter offered a great mix of comfort, features and fuel efficiency which is vital for buyers of this segment.
