TVS Motor Company hosted an evening of the TVS X Collectors’ Soirée in Bengaluru recently, presenting the TVS X not just as an electric mobility product, but as a platform for design, culture and craft. The event marked a shift away from a conventional automotive showcase and instead framed mobility as a creative medium.
At the centre of the evening were three one-of-one custom TVS X models, developed in collaboration with designer Manoviraj Khosla. Each piece drew inspiration from Karnataka’s artistic and cultural heritage, including the architecture of Hampi, the craft traditions of Channapatna and the royal legacy of Mysuru. The result was a set of collectible machines that connected regional identity with contemporary design and engineering.

The company said that Bengaluru, which plays an important role in TVS Motor’s EV journey, was a fitting location for the initiative. It also positioned Karnataka’s heritage as a natural starting point for a larger design-led storytelling effort that could extend beyond a single event.
Speaking at the event, Gaurav Gupta, President – India Two Wheeler Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “Progress without culture is incomplete. With TVS X, we’re bringing Indian art and architectural heritage into a contemporary form, and the first chapter in Karnataka, marks the start of a larger journey across India.”
The event also highlighted the place of artisans in India’s evolving design landscape. Mala Dhawan, Founder of A Hundred Hands, spoke about the need to improve access, visibility and fair value for craft communities across Karnataka. Proceeds from the collectors’ auction were directed to A Hundred Hands, reinforcing the initiative’s support for sustainable livelihoods and traditional craft practices.

Launched in 2023, the TVS X is its flagship electric two-wheeler offering. However, deliveries for the electric scooter started only in early 2025 in a phased manner. TVS hasn’t disclosed the exact number of the electric scooters sold. The X features a 4.44 kWh battery that promises a range of 140 km on a full charge. This battery sends energy to a 7 kW electric motor that claims a top speed of 105 kmph.

Built on its Xleton platform, the X uses a high-strength aluminium alloy frame and aims for a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The TVS X comes loaded with features such as a 10.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect for navigation, calls, and SMS access, a customisable home screen, three ride modes (Xtride, Xonic, and Xtealth), OTA updates, cruise control, and more.
